In today's healthcare universe controlled and dictated by Medicare and private insurers, any provider who is not an MD, DO, or specific registered professional cannot be covered by those third party payors. For the Naturopath, or other provider it means the patient or client must pay cash which restricts their ability to utilize these services regardless of how effective they are. It also limits the sort of treatment the patient can afford which can and does adversely impact their health. |
Our mission, or purpose, is to gather together a group of a sufficient size that we can negotiate a health care insurance plan that does cover alternative providers.
Statistically, those who gravitate to alternative care are often more diligent about their diets and lifestyle, which in many ways creates a more defined risk for an insurer as opposed to tho unknowing who eat poorly and do not particularly try to stay health. We believe this if properly presented can open the door to that sort of polity.

The Arizona Senate passed a bill providing for Naturopaths to be recognized as primary care providers for AHCCS. Times are changing and if we work together, we can make this happen. For the provider, you will initially be included on our list of network providers, which will expand your patient base and then we initiate a polity in which you will be a listed provider, which will further your practice reach. |
